Crochet Styles for Holiday Hair
It's officially the holiday season! Between family photos, traveling and holiday parties, you’re probably trying to figure out what to do with your hair. This season is all about spending time with friends and family, not spending hours in a salon. Whether you choose to have a new crochet style installed or give new life to your existing crochets, check out three ways to look your best this season!
When in doubt, go with a bun or top knot. A bun, whether high or low, is a go-to for the holidays. Not only does the sleek look help you look pulled together, but it’s also easy to do from an existing crochet hair style. If you are rocking a big curly look, try a half up/half down look. For a festive look, add hair accessories in sparkly metallics, rhinestones or pearls. Have fun with the look and pull it into high top knots.
Put a new spin on a curly ‘do this season. The holidays are a great time to play around with new colors. Deep plums and reds are popular. You can also add bright blonde highlights to make your holiday style pop. For a sexy side sweep, leave your natural hair out during the install to cover the crochet hair. Use exposed metallic bobby pins in a crisscross pattern to add flair to the style.
Cornrows & Curls
Put a feminine twist on cornrows for your next event. Add 4-6 medium sized cornrows and secure curly crochet at the bottom. Try different versions of the look by choosing different lengths and textures of hair. Replace braids with large two strand twists and add wavy hair to crest a twist out look. Remix this look by having the cornrows installed in an updo and add hair on top to create a sexy formal look.
